Amelan - an active depigmentation mask is performed as a single treatment at our clinic. It is used for facial rejuvenation, lightening any dark patches on the skin, caused by hormonal changes, melasma or photo damage. It is also useful for treatment of age spots and other abnormal pigmentation.  The advantage of this treatment is that it is suitable for all skin types, including Asian and black skins, does not cause excessive peeling and can be used all year round. Amelan mask and home care products contain lightening substances such as arbutina and kojic acid that interrupts the formation of melanin in the skin. The skin starts to improve a week after beginning the treatment with the full result noticeable within a month. And in some cases it may be advisable to continue to use Amelan cream at home for a year.  During the procedure a special mask is applied in our clinic. The patient then leaves the clinic with the mask on, and keeps it on for the next few hours (because of the appearance transport facilities are required).  Reddening of the skin that occurs after Amelan mask, is similar to skin reaction to sun exposure. Very mild swelling may occur a few hours later. The feeling of heat and tightness on the face is normal and may last for a couple of days. Flaking and peeling usually occurs on day 3. From day 4-5 the skin will begin to present a healthy and luminous aspect.  For the next four weeks a patient should use Amelan cream, twice a day, which helps with depigmentation. Amelan treatment requires the use of Amelan cream and Hydro Vital Faktor K. In 70% of case the dark marks disappear by 95% within 28 days.
