Spider Veins Removal

Removal of facial spider veins and skin tags

Removal of the small red blood vessels on the face, papillomas and skin tags on the body can be performed by a medical procedure, called micro coagulation.

Facial thread veins are not broken capillaries but dilated capillaries. They have very thin walls which constantly dilate and constrict. As we age the vessels they lose their elasticity and can become permanently dilated.
There are numerous cause including: ageing, hereditary, pregnancy, the rubbing of spectables, smoking, energetic sports, temperature extremes and harsh weather exposure, hormones and skin fragility.

During this procedure we use a special machine that sends micro current through the facial spider veins or skin tags causing their immediate collapse. The tip of the finest, smallest probe possible (about the size of an eyelash) is introduced along the line of the capillary and tiny energy current is discharged. This dries up and destroys the vessel which dippears as it is being treated. Two treatments may be necessary depending on the severity of the problem. This treatment is not painful, but in some cases we may recommend local anaesthesia.

The cost depends on the size of the treated area and starts from £95.

Thread veins on legs- treatment with sclerotherapy from £200.

Thread veins (also known as spider veins or telangiectasia) of the legs is a common problem, particularly affecting women. While these thread veins do not cause any major health problems, they may create discomfort or embarrassment.

Today a simple treatment called sclerotherapy is successfully being used to correct unwanted thread veins of the legs.

Scerotherapy is a procedure in which a practicioner using a syringe with a tiny needle, injects a small amount of a special solution directly in to the thread vein.

The solution displaces the blood within the vein, making it blanch or turn white. The solution then caused the vessel to become irritated and to close, preventing the blood from re-entering the vein.

The thread veins will gradually fade and within four to eight weeks following treatment some with completely disappear. Several treatment sessions are required to achieve optimum results.

Patients who have sclerotherapy report little discomfort. Some experience a slight or moderate stinging sensation immediately after the injection, but this lasts for only a few seconds.

Most patients experience no adverse side effects but, some have slight swelling or bruising around the treated area which will usually disappear within a week.
