Dr Helena Benson qualified as a medical doctor in 1986. She then specialised in nutrition and studied herbal medicine and homoeopathy. But her main interest was Iridology. She completed a course designed for doctors and participated in a special iridology research project.

During the 1990s she has worked at the Hale Clinic, in Harley Street and from her practice Golders Green. She established the London School of Iridology in 1998 and teaches in England and Ireland.

Dr Helena Benson is a Member of the Guild of Naturopathic Iridologists and the International Register of Consultant Herbalists and Homoeopaths. She has appeared several times on radio and television programmes about Iridology.

Dr Benson has also developed a range of herbal remedies, marketed as Dr Benson’s Herbal Blends, which were chosen by Natural Trade magazine as one of the best products 2000.
